Michael Kranish, author of "The World's Fastest Man: The Extraordinary Life of Cyclist Major Taylor, America's First Black Sports Hero" (Scribner, 2019), was the featured speaker in the Worcester JCC Author Series on the date of the book's release, in a presentation co-sponsored by the Worcester Black-Jewish Alliance and the Major Taylor Association. The free talk at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the Worcester JCC was followed by a dessert reception and book-signing. Special thanks to Nancy Greenberg, cultural arts director at the JCC.
