Worcester, Mass.  The Worcester Public Library's summer reading program introduced families with children to Major Taylor, World Cycling Champion, and a modern-day bicycle racer, Daniel Estevez, during a visit from the Major Taylor Association. Kids and parents learned about "the Worcester Whirlwind," took a close look at the Major Taylor statue in front of the library, compared Major Taylor's bike to Estevez's, and heard about bike racing then and now. Special thanks to the library's youth services director, Iris Delgado, for setting up this event.
