On the 120th anniversary of Major Taylor's world championship, the Major Taylor Trail Keepers bicycle ride in Chicago and its southern suburbs featured a revitalized stretch of the Major Taylor Trail and served as a fundraiser for the trail's upkeep. With options of 5, 26, 30, 44, 50, 64 or 89 miles, the ride had something for everyone. It was organized by the Friends of the Major Taylor Trail and CNIP - Community and Neighborhood Improvement Project.
