 Hundreds of cyclists rode 5, 17, 35, 54, 67, 100 or 126 miles over scenic Alabama roads on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, in the Glassner Autumn Challenge, a recreational ride put on by the Montgomery Bicycle Club, complete with food, support, and entertainment at the start/finish at the ASU football stadium. It's not a race. Rider packets included information about Major Taylor, and participants voted for historically Black colleges and universities to receive proceeds from the event to put toward bicycle safety education or infrastructure.
