It's one rider at a time against the clock in this steep uphill time trial in downtown Worcester, presented by Landry's Bicycles and the Seven Hills Wheelmen. The distance is 500 feet, and the average grade is 18 percent. The contest is open to riders age 12 and up. Helmets are required. Proceeds benefit the Major Taylor Association, Inc. Click here for the course records. starting at the Major Taylor statue, 3 Salem St., Worcester. 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20 -- 34 miles with Seven Hills Wheelmen, with Major Taylor points of interest along the way 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 21 -- Ride to the Race, 17 miles, arriving at George Street in time to compete or just watch Advance registration is not required for the fun rides, but please check in at the statue about half an hour before rollout.
