We gave away a Giant Escape 2 Disc bike from Landry's Bicycles in a prize drawing at the conclusion of the George Street Bike Challenge for Major Taylor in Worcester, Mass. Proceeds benefit the Major Taylor Association.
GRAND PRIZE -- Giant Escape 2 Disc: This flat-bar all-rounder bicycle is good for commuting to work, riding to class, and finding new adventures in your daily routine. Built on a lightweight aluminum frame, it features disc brakes, a composite fork, 700c wheels with tubeless tires, and integrated mounts for racks and fenders. An autographed cycling cap from Nelson Vails, the first Black American cyclist since Major Taylor to triumph on the world stage. Vails, aka "the Cheetah," won a silver medal in track cycling at the 1984 Olympics. Winner: Denis O'Connell

| The "Resilience" exhibit catalog, signed by the artist, Louis Garneau, a former Canadian cycling champion and Olympian. The catalog contains images of Garneau's 100 paintings commemorating Major Taylor, which were exhibited this summer at the Worcester Center for Crafts.
